This mohair design by Rita Swedlin Raiffe was made to commemorate Gund's 1998 Centennial. A one of a kind 34 inch example of this bear was sold at auction for an incredible one hundred thousand dollars. That bear is now on exhibit in a Japanese teddy bear museum. The bear is fully jointed with moveable arms, legs and head. The muzzel is hand clipped to reveal the base color and the distinctive facial design. The mouth is open and lined with calfskin, as are the eyelids and paw pads.
